So What Does A Recruiter Do?
The Recruitment Process Simplified
1. Sourcing the talent
There are three main methods of recruitment –
- Head-hunting
- Referrals
- Advertising
We primarily rely on the first two.
Using a variety of methods of intelligence gathering including continuous data research on-line and through word of mouth, we are able to identify individuals and confirm certain details.
2. Initial call
We call you to determine your level of interest, your timing and whether we can help you.
3. Amicas Global Interview
Where ever possible, we will meet with you in person to discuss your needs and prospects at length and to map out a strategy to suit each individual’s situation which includes identifying which location(s) best suit your requirements, and apprising you of specific relocation opportunities. Otherwise, we will do the same over the telephone. We suggest you allow for an hour of your time preferably to ensure we are able to have a detailed consultation with you.
This is a critical stage of the process therefore we will take as much time as is necessary to ensure we have the best understanding of what you want before proceeding.
4. House-styling the Resume
We will work with you to draft a resume which will not only provide an accurate representation of your background and skills, but will also be tailored to a particular role and present you in the best possible light without being misleading.
5. Submitting the Resume
We will submit your resume only for the opportunities which you have given us consent for. Note we have a strict Privacy Policy. If new opportunities arise, we will contact you to determine your interest, and keep a watching brief.
We will keep you regularly updated on the status of your applications.
6. The Interviews
We will send you our detailed interview guide and arrange a comprehensive interview prep session with you in person or over the phone before each interview to ensure you are fully briefed and prepared. Most overseas interviews are conducted by videoconference or over the telephone.
We will handle all the logistics in relation to setting up the interview and advise you of the venue and time of the interview as well as who you will be interviewing with.
Most clients have a two interview process.
7. Post Interview
We will contact you shortly after each interview to obtain your feedback and pass this on to the client. We will also pass on any feedback from the client back to you. If you have any concerns or questions at any stage, it is important to discuss this with us so that they can be dealt with immediately.
8. Offer and Acceptance
We will advise you of the offer details and provide our views on where it stands within your relevant market. If you have multiple offers, we will liaise between the offerors to ensure that all parties are kept apprised of your situation.
We will engage in negotiations on your behalf if required.
We will advise you on matters pertaining to relocation, reference checking and a start date, and keep in touch with you until the day you leave to ensure that everything is on track.
Please note that the entire process on average can take up to 6 weeks to complete from start to finish, however it can be longer depending on the individual, the time of year, and the prevailing market conditions, therefore we suggest that you allow for this when determining your timing to relocate.
