Welcome to the Amicas Global Alumni Association (AGAA)!

As you know, ‘Amicas’ is the Latin word for ‘friends’ which we deliberately chose as the name for our business to reflect the spirit in which it was set up and our core beliefs. The second part of our name 'Global' represents our vision of forging friendships around the world. With this in mind, it seemed a natural next step for us to establish a forum which would provide a focal point for our efforts. The concept of AGAA was therefore borne.

Our vision is to connect professionals all around the globe regardless of location. Specifically AGAA will serve a multi-function purpose :

  • To act as a business networking forum to provide another avenue of marketing for members, facilitate introductions between members, and open up new business opportunities for members. For example, we will publish a Member Profile in our quarterly newsletters focussing on a different AGAA member each time.
  • To act as a global support system particularly for those about to embark on a new phase in their life in a different country. Our ‘Buddy’ scheme is one such initiative. We know that it can be daunting to relocate to a new place and not know anyone or be unfamiliar with your surroundings. The AGAA Buddy will be on hand to ease you into this transition. We realise that many employers provide a similar system in the workplace however our Buddy scheme has been designed to be more socially oriented.
  • To act as an information exchange centre which will include market updates, breaking news, travel anecdotes and job alerts to keep our members informed.
  • To provide benefits exclusive to our members offered by our recommended third party suppliers in lifestyle-related areas (see below).

We hope that you will want to become a part of the AGAA network and help us grow it over time.
