What – More Exams
You may practise as a registered foreign lawyer in the UK however some firms may require you to requalify by way of the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) and will assist you with this. To be eligible for admission, you need to have at least two years of practical experience in at least three common law areas which must be acquired in the last five years.
The QLTT covers four Heads:
Head I – Property
Head II - Litigation
Head III - Professional Conduct & Accounts
Head IV - Principles of Common Law
Australian and New Zealand lawyers need only sit Head III of the test.
