As the Channel Islands have a flat tax rate of 20%, salaries tend to be lower by the same proportion than their UK counterparts. However due to the lower cost of living, you may find that you keep about 79% of salary, compared to about 65% in the UK.

Most firms will provide some form of relocation assistance in addition to a basic annual salary. This could include any of the following:

• One way airfare for you and your family
• 2 to 4 weeks temporary accommodation upon arrival either at a serviced apartment or a hotel
• A shipping allowance which comprises reasonable costs of relocating your personal belongings against receipts
